Pros
- Allows shuttle members to organise meetings in their city.
- Shuttle crews counts towards Chapters roster creating a stronger, greater chapter.
- The Tydirium can help recruit on behalf of the shuttles when attending events in Sydney, benefiting the shuttle’s growth.
- Gives shuttle members something to rally under in their hometowns.
- Makes it easier for them to recruit when they have something real and physical to represent their branch of the Tydirium.
- Allows intership cooperation/competition (team effort).
- Larger talent pool / skillsets.
- Larger Chapter meetings when shuttles are called in.
- When recruiting, one can recruit towards one pool of members (chapter), not multiple.
- Shuttle may develop protocols that can be used for the Chapter.
- Creating new chapter position called Shuttle Coordinator (Wing Commander?).
Cons
- Shuttle members don’t attend chapter meetings/events because meeting/event days conflict.
- Shuttle Commander or Crew disagrees with Chapter CO/Crew on policies, etc…
- Shuttle decides to splinter from chapter forming their own chapter.
- Shuttle becomes a dead weight and does nothing.
- Chapter starts ignoring the shuttle, due to lack of interest.
- Shuttle starts ignoring the Chapter, due to lack of interest.
Cause & Effect of Shuttles Splintering from mother chapter
(which may include pros and cons for both chapter or shuttle)
- Shuttle gains independance from mother chapter.
- Shuttle Commander becomes CO/Captain of new chapter.
- Mother Chapter loses members from roster.
- Depending on the member amount lost, and the remaining amount of members on the mother chapter, may cause the mother chapter to fold if it goes under 10.
- Former Shuttle (now a chapter) must now maintain 10 members each year instead of 3.
- Both (or all) chapters now have to maintain 10 members each from the same recruiting pool.
- Chapters fighting over each other to recruit new members in.
- Most events are held in Sydney, so new chapter must recruit from former chapters area.
- Chapters have grudge against each other, does not wish to cooperate with each other.
